Michael Henry, the gallery's owner and director, celebrates his 20th year in the art business in 2009. In 1989, Henry began his career with Merrill Chase Galleries in Denver, Colorado. In 1993, he moved to New York to become curator of Gallery Revel. He continued with Revel until, then owner Marvin Carson retired and the gallery closed in New York in 2005. Using this opportunity, Henry created mdh fine arts as a showcase for new and established artists to show together. The gallery has become a neighborhood fixture since it's debut in November of 2005.
